Day 1: Brisbane – Lake Wivenhoe
As you journey along the Warrego Highway, take a turn (for the better) to the Brisbane Valley Highway towards Esk. Your first stop is the charming town of Fernvale. Feast on an award-winning pie at the Old Fernvale Bakery or delve into a delicious delicacy from Tree Change Café. After you’ve stocked up on tasty treats, continue north to the expansive waters of Lake Wivenhoe.

Free camp: Geoffrey Fisher Bridge: Located conveniently along the Brisbane Valley Highway, this overnight free rest area is a great place for fully self-contained caravanners to rest and rejuvenate.
Play: Take a dip or enjoy a spot of fishing on the lake. Hire a canoe from Camping Wivenhoe and go for a peaceful paddle along the calming waters of Lake Wivenhoe.

- Bush Walking Paradise at Wivenhoe Hill Trails: With four bushland tracks to choose from, you’ll think you’re in hiking heaven as you stroll amongst native flora and fauna along the banks of Lake Wivenhoe.
- Saddle up for a horse-ride along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail with Nash Horse Trekking. Feel free to choose from family, beginner or their famous Pub rides.

Day 2: Lake Wivenhoe – Esk
Revel in the wonders of a Wivenhoe sunrise, before packing up and heading north for an Esk-cape like no other.

Day 3: Esk – Gatton
Take the Gatton-Esk Road and cruise through the countryside: Glories await in Gatton. With its breathtaking backdrop of rolling hills and the Great Dividing Range, Gatton beckons you to explore its diverse array of speciality shops, cafes and restaurants, all serving up delectable meals that'll leave your taste buds singing.

Play: Unhitch and relish a scenic drive to Spring Bluff Historic Railway, home to Queensland's most beautiful railway station, serene walkways, and lush gardens. Then, swing by Murphys Creek Tavern for their renowned steak sandwich!
Explore:
- Nature Walk & Birdwatching Bliss: Strut along the walking trails by Lake Apex, taking in the chill ambiance. Birdwatchers, pack your binoculars – this place has 153 species of birds recorded!
- Cultural Haven: Explore the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre with its Art Gallery, Queensland Transport Museum, Library, Visitor Information Centre and Café.

Day 4: Gatton – Laidley
