Lake Wivenhoe - Captain Logan Campground and Lumley Hill Campground

Enjoy camping at one of two campgrounds - Captain Logan Campground and Lumley Hill Campground. Just an hour from Brisbane's Central Business District, located on the beautiful Lake Wivenhoe these amazingly beautiful campsites caters for both families and large groups. Choose from grassy sites overlooking the lake for a tranquil setting. Enjoy a relaxing stay with natural shade and vegetation or get out on the water for recreational activities. Watch out for kangaroos, possums, pelicans, ducks and a wide variety of birdlife during your stay. Lake Wivenhoe, more commonly referred to as Wivenhoe Dam, is a haven for those who enjoy water-based recreation particularly for kayaking,canoeing and fishing. The water is very calm due to the lack of powered boats which makes for an enjoyable, relaxing experience. Captain Logan Campground is situated on the banks of Lake Wivenhoe and provides 57 tent sites and 7 drive on sites (no power). There are full amenities with free hot showers and free gas barbecues. Lumley Hill Campground is situated on a hill overlooking the Lake. There are 10 powered drive on sites (with water), 18 drive on sites (no power) and 6 tent sites. There are full amenities with free hot showers.
