Goondiwindi
Goondiwindi Sandstone Pillars
Artist: Chris Mackenzie Sculpted in 2001 as part of a project for the Centenary of Federation in Goondiwindi, the design focuses on images of water birds and stylised depictions of water and rain - constant elements in the history of Goondiwindi. The pillars encapsulate the relationship Goondiwindi holds between its township and the Macintyre River.
